Scanned PDF to Editable Excel
Upload a scanned PDF, image PDF, JPG, PNG, or WebP. Uti-Mate renders each page, reads it with OCR, rebuilds detected rows and columns, lets you edit the preview, then exports a real editable Excel file.

What is a scanned PDF to Excel converter?
A scanned PDF to Excel converter turns document images into editable spreadsheet cells. A normal PDF table may contain selectable text, but a scanned PDF is usually only a picture of a page. That is why this tool uses OCR, short for optical character recognition, to read the characters from the rendered page image before arranging them into rows and columns.
How this OCR Excel tool works
PDF pages are rendered into high-resolution browser canvases.
Tesseract OCR detects words, positions, and line groups.
The script rebuilds a spreadsheet-like table and exports XLSX/CSV.
Best files for accurate conversion
| Input quality | Expected result |
|---|---|
| Clear printed tables, straight scan, high contrast | Best OCR accuracy and cleaner Excel rows. |
| Low-resolution screenshots or tilted photos | May require manual correction in the preview table. |
| Handwritten tables | Usually unreliable. Use manual checking. |
| Complex multi-column reports | Try different table detection modes and export separate sheets. |
Privacy and limitations
The file processing happens in your browser. The OCR, PDF rendering, and Excel export libraries are loaded through browser scripts, then your file is processed locally on your device. OCR is not perfect, especially when scans are blurry, rotated, shadowed, handwritten, or using complex table layouts. For important documents, treat the exported Excel file as a draft and verify the values against the original PDF.
